Second Order: Vivien Zhang

London-based artist Vivien Zhang transforms the Ante Room with Second Order, creating an immersive, site-specific environment that extends her painting practice into the space itself. Bringing together six new paintings and five new works on paper, all on view for the first time, alongside specially commissioned, new artist wallpaper, Zhang creates a richly layered world of repetition and shifting forms. Drawing on cartography, physics, butterflies and decorative traditions, Zhang combines oil, acrylic and spray paint with processes inspired by digital imaging.
