The Arts Club is delighted to announce the opening of two new exhibitions. In the Ante Room, Playing the Fool by Sara Berman explores identity through costume and performance, using fabric-like brushwork to evoke the symbolic and tactile power of clothing as a second skin. In the Drawing Room, Between Worlds features Caroline Jackson, whose recent solo show This Place, was held at Sim Smith, London (2024)—and Tim Garwood, who recently exhibited at Philip Martin Gallery, LA (2025). Together, their works open up dynamic, fluid spaces where memory, observation and transformation converge.

On the stairwell, we present paintings by Wilhelmina Barns-Graham, a leading figure in British abstraction. Recent exhibitions include solo displays at the British Museum (2024) and Hatton Gallery (2023), and a duo show at Tate St Ives (2022). A major retrospective of her work will open at Tate St Ives in autumn 2026.
