30 Years Since Bacon

‘Francis Bacon: Man and Beast’, the exhibition currently on show at the Royal Academy, highlights the great painter’s fascination with animals and what they reveal about human instinct and identity.

We explore the artist’s incredible life and legacy with Bacon expert, Francis Outred, in conversation with Michael Peppiatt, Bacon’s friend and biographer, and Dr Rebecca Daniels, Senior Researcher from The Estate of Francis Bacon. Curated in these difficult times, the exhibition shows Bacon’s vision of existence as more profound and prescient than ever.

Man and Beast will be on show at Royal Academy until 17 April 2022.
