Zara McFarlane, known by many as the UK’s most prominent jazz artist today, took to Leo’s stage to perform original music and a collection of jazz, soul and reggae greats.
With four critically acclaimed albums and collaborations with music heavyweights including house music legend, Lil’ Louie Vega and Jazz sensation, Gregory Porter, Zara’s seminal material traces her Caribbean musical heritage, exploring the musical possibilities of British-Jamaican identity. Zara and her band are fresh from sell out shows at the Jazz Cafe performing pieces from her much lauded ‘Songs of an Unknown Tongue’ released in 2020 on Gilles Peterson’s Brownswood Recordings.
